I agree with you on the near versus Nithi thing and I am not trying to say that the Nithis are great. If they were great, this book would have been completely useless. The natural progression of any party that starts becoming more and more dominant is it should have greater probability of losing the next election. One real reason is your incumbents don't want to leave, they keep winning. And game theory is because you want to be the survivor who is jostling for position when those guys are gone and jumping ship majors leave you kirkabini, k Kirkabini.
