Why the Four Year Vesting Schedule Exists
The four year vesting schedule does not map to anything that is happening in to day's world. Nobody starts at a company going, i know i'm going to stay forty eight months. I also think you could question whether the one yor cliff is the right cliff. If you want really competitive with the market, make it a six month cliff. Early exercise can be a great way for people to take advantage of potential tax savings but also show the real commitment to the company.
