Democrats lost a lot of seats in New York state, perhaps because of the ghost of Andrew Cuomo and his nonpartisan redistricting. Democrats lost a bunch of seats to Republicans, ultimately causing them to lose the house. A lot of these candidates ran as not magga. They ran as sort of quote unquote normal Republicans, but it turns out it doesn't matter at all.
