The History of Black Friday

The day after Thanksgiving is famously the busiest shopping day of the year they call it black Friday in the United States. The name has also even now been adopted abroad as a day for shopping. In the 1950s department stores began instituting a huge you know sale on that particular day and then it was apparently the local police department in Philadelphia that named that day black Friday because of the chaos that would ensue.
