Handing It Over - I Can't Save My Daughter
The author's daughter was addicted to heroin in her late teens. Her mother would get her into the right recovery program and have all sorts of high hopes. But at some point sooner or later she'd go off the program and end up back using again. The woman had to break the pattern of controlling by handing it over. She said, okay beloved, this belongs to something larger. Let it just belong to the universe.
