Maimonides's Theory of Wisdom

Maimonides believed that prophecy occurs in the person who was adequately prepared for such a bestowal. He argued that God would need to intervene miraculously to prevent such a suitably prepared person from receiving prophetic insight. In our perplexity we have received guidance, not just from Maimonides but from prophets, first and foremost among them, Moses.
