Thought Is Always Enquiring
meditation demands tremendous discipline, not the discipline of control, suppression, imitation. Thought is always enquiring whether it can go beyond its own conditioning and asserting that there is something beyond. We are going to discover whether there is a field of innocence, an innocence that has not been touched by thought at all. Whether I can look at that tree as though it was the first time, whether I can lookAt the world with all its confusion, misery, sorrow, deception, brutality, dishonesty, cruelty, war. Unless the mind discovers that field of innocence,. whatever it does, social reforms will always be contaminated by thought because it is the product of thought - which is always old.
