The Solar System Beyond Neptune Is Just Empty
At the time, everyone just kind of accepted the idea that, besides for pluto, the solar system beyond neptune was just empty. But dave explained to jane that he didn't believe that. And he point out that there is no reason why the outer solar system should be completely empty. This was all based around a really well established idea in astronomy that after sun and planets formed billions of years ago, there was a lot of left over material.
