The Longest River in the World
The Amazon River Basin is the largest in the world as well. It covers an area of approximately 7 million square kilometers or 2.7 million square miles. 60% of the basin is inside Brazil, with 40% divided between the other countries. By the time the Amazon enters Brazil, it's already the largest river in the world by water flow.
