At no point do you worry she's genuinely going to be murdered or assaulted. There are no actual villains in it, and that is really refreshing for a film with a female main character. Will Ferrell was set up to be the kind of like, small cat holding like, evil character. And actually, he was just a sort of chump who pranced through and had a lovely time. Wouldn't we all- Wouldn't so many more men who did dress?
