The Science of Motivation
Our brains aren't designed for a lot of the long range goal setting that's necessary for success. The circuitry guiding our thoughts and actions is exquisitely complicated. But it does have a big limitation, our motivational impulses are a remarkably short term. One solution tof this problem is simply to try to tilt the playing field. If your motivation is strong enough, temporarily you might even be able to do it. Another strategy is to dam up the easier paths.
