The Story Behind the Cheese Rolling Contest
The cooper's held cheese rolling contest was first recorded about 200 years ago in southwest england. People run down a ridiculously steep hill chasing a giant, eight pound wheel of cheese that rolls down at up to 70 miles an hour. The official competition was cancelled in 20 ten because the event was so popular and attracted such huge crowds. But the competition still takes place every year unofficially.
