In the Buddhist tradition there literally is a meditation. Where they will have you meditate on things that you're fearful of in particular. There's something as morbid as it sounds. When you realize how small life is, I don't even like to say short because there's plenty of times where life feels long but life is small. So I'm a huge fan of how can I tap into some element of fear or morbidity around a particular thing?
