Is the State the Best Venue for Discussions and Debates on Complex Social Issues?

There are obvious cases where the government could be directly using this technology, or at least farming out, authorizing some private sect or entity to engage in these kinds of checks. We libertarians, we liberals, a value equality for the law. And a gender is one of those things that should be almost perfectly irrelevant when it comes to how the law treats you. This kind of technology could become something police add to their tollkit if the law enforcement decides to criminalize going to the wrong bathroom, or something like that.
