There's been a lot of philosophy around accepting death as a precondition for our authenticity. But the notion of death is too monolithic and too free to assume the meanings to do the job here. I think astonishment and grief, both they open kind of clearings that allow for a transcendence, but then also a deep inimminence. And that there can and should be a whole set of practices around accessing this in a deep and authentic way. So thank you very much, John. Do well Set up the next one!
