You Can't See the World Without a Goal

You can't even look at the world without a goal, because you can't focus your eyes unless you pick something out as the thing that you're aiming your perception at. You have to have an aim, and you have to be pursuing it successfully. And so i was thinking about that i watched him make bricks. He'd go dig in the mud, in the clay, and come up with like a mass of clay. Then he made this little frame out of sticks that was rectangular. And then he packed them into one another over and over. It's really something to watch someone create out of nothing. There's something absolutely profound about it.
