The Importance of Labels in Recovery

If a label helps you thrive in your sobriety, use it. If it's uncomfortable, then ditch it. Do what works for you and what feels right in your heart. And don't worry what box others put you in. By dropping the labels, we make room for the unknown. We are then able to perceive things as they are moment to moment rather than reducing everything to a symptom or a diagnosis. Remember, if you're questioning yourself, it might be time to seek support. Even though this journey can be awkward, it is definitely worth it.
