The Church Didn't Believe in a Flat Earth
John philiponu was a sixth century philosopher and theologian, one of cosmus prares in alexandria. He produced this rather pointed takedown of cosmos about his flat earth views. A cosmus basically is then not read again for about another am 809 hundred years before he's rediscovered. So the idea that he was guiding anybody's thinking on this is enough. How do you know that that the church didn't believe in a flat earth?
