I've seen a lot recently where you're connected to someone and then all you get back is a kind of scripted, very long message. If you send an actual meaningful message or you engage in a real conversation and build a relationship, it's just like astronomically shocking to people. Adding value isn't about what you're going to get. It's seeing an area that if you even remotely like your job or can answer someone's question or actually have a valid point, just put it out there.
