Coat Tail Effects in the National General Elections?
There are only so many column inches in a newspaper, or only so many minutes in a prime time new show. So there is much less information, so there's greater reliance on party affiliation. We have analyzed between 19 77 and two thousand 19 so weve analyzed all the elections. And in that period, we've tried to understand how these synchronized elections play effect. But we don't find that the effect is explained by just the coat tail effects.
