The Limits of Using Electrons in Processing

When we reach the scale of just a couple of atoms or so, what we are doing is we are using electrons in all of this. And when you pack so much, so many transisters, into such a small place, and when, when you do the processing, heat is generated. Just a small, two dimensional silican processer produces so much heat. It's really, really tough to keep a comviter cool. So that's the problem we will face when we have three dimensional processes. The other possibility is to ditch electrons altogether and go to photons, photonics.
