The Mysterious
Einstein understood science and religion to be separate realms, but joined by reciprocal relationships and dependencies. He stressed how both realms acknowledge and honor the human sense of mystery. The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious; it is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. In this sense and in this alone, I am a deeply religious man.
