Borderline and Bipolar Disorders - How Do They Interact?

I was wondering if you could maybe compare and contrast something like borderline and bipolar disorder to talk about how these different levels interact with each other or not depending on the situation. So I think what has to happen is the person has to feel the schema activate, they have to feel the emotions associated with it. And in a safe place where they're contained and their frontal lobe isn't being blasted out by their emotions, they can then reflect on it. That's that combination of experiencing and reflecting that really leads to change.
