The Effect of Emotions on Productivity in ADHD
If I'm anxious or feeling guilty, even if I can't put my finger on why, I'll be spinning my wheels more and get less done. ADHD brains have Richter Scales that are highly sensitive to even the slightest tremors in our emotional landscape and the environment around us. So we're highly attuned to the emotional states of other people too, not just our own emotional state. And obviously you can't always control it, but because ADHD often gets linked with negative associations when it comes to emotional regulation, I think it's really important to talk about how being stuck in a positive emotional state can also be really incredible for productivity.
