Is Andrew Wakefield Blaming Measles?
Dr. Andrew Wakefield has been accused of causing a measles outbreak in the Western world after he published his controversial study on MMR vaccines. The National Institute of Health recently drew a direct line between Wakefield's research and a worldwide epidemic, saying that as a result of the movement, he ignited multiple breakouts of measles. In 2010, there was a Whooping Cough outbreak in California, the worst in 50 years. It was spread by a kid whose parents had non-medical exemptions for school vaccination requirements.
