Is Vanguard Better Managed Than Vanguard?

John Sutter: Why would I ever buy an index through Vanguard, or any other brokerage firm? They would probably argue that theirs is better managed than. So many fund managers park money in SPY right now. It's huge. But maybe there's a reason we could probably ask John's company to tell us at some point. Maybe they'll come on the air with us.
