The Devolution of Local Government in North Yorkshire

Gemma says we're expecting a decision on whether it's the East West or North Yorkshire York split next week. And that is seen as the stepping stone once they've sorted out local government, then they can look at devolution deals. Gemma: I wonder how confusing it's going to get for people in terms of everywhere have I watched a very long select committee yesterday morning and there were differing views about how similar the power should be. The whole point of devolution deals was to tailor the deal to the area wasn't it originally? So you can see why different areas would end up with different powers.
