The Story of Abu Salim
Around 12 hundred and 70 prisoners are massacred, including a summary execution of all those on the busses. The ganafi regime did not admit or acknowledge these killings until almost a decade later. For years, rumours will persist as to what might have happened at abu salim. Something went on, but amid a massive clean up operation, no word is forthcoming. In two thousand and seven, in a move led by sip al islam gadafi, there is eventual grudging admission that, yes, something may have happened in abu Salim.
