Is There a Future for Science Fiction?

I like the theory that intelligent life will or may have interacted with earth's life forms and ways we not detect. I would probably pick a replicator from startreck to be able to synthesize food and drink and objects without needing the material to print them. And i think it re cycles too, doesn't it? Te environmental fantastic. It would change a lot of our infa structure. Will then let me piv it and ask you about aliens. Why haven't we been visited yet? If the universe is so filled with wonderful planets, what's your personal thought on that question?
