Dempsky's Explanatory Filter
Dampsky: Design must exclude necessity and chance. Consider the dropping of a scrabble tile, that is no different than a leaf falling from a tree or an asteroid heading toward earth. Each of these, like the gravity governed tile, given certain scientific laws, moves by necessity. But in the case of the tossed tiles moved by the wind, things are a bit different. There's complexity to the configuration of the tiles that results,. sits and evolves in multitude of objects, each of which is indifferent to the other.
