Introduction

I pray daily for the reunion of the churches. It was there for a thousand years. Nobody, I think, in the world, except maybe a few prophets like Flannery O'Connor, ever thought that what has happened in the last decade or so could possibly happen. We're using the same terminology, we mean different things now. And it's kind of this confusing state,. I think, for language now. Let me give you a key example of that. This is an example dear to my heart because I praydaily for the reunification of the churches; it can happen.
