The Importance of Reading the Room
I was part of an initiative during the Obama administration to reform forensic sciences in the United States. Having new experiences particularly learning from people in different countries and cultures, I think can only help expand the way that we kind of view the world. My history as being an in-literate individual helps me to communicate in different ways to get the point across on how we're doing. And I saw a bit of that in some of the work we were doing with trying to automate functions and create new forms on these types of things.
