Is There a Hierarchy of Power?
In virtually all societies, the sexes remain socially unequal. Criminal law as a human rights initiative is quite a new departure in the last decade or so. Some people listen to that and say, well, look, women aren't subordinate to men. Why are you assuming that masculine is somehow above feminine in this role-playing? This isn't about assumptions. When a person is being raped, the person who is raping them is in a hierarchy over them - they're doing something to them.
