The Inquest Into the Death of a Paramedic
Post mortem examinations by two pathologists failed to est bish a medical cause of death. A separate examination of mister bibby's heart by a consultant cardiac pathologist found nothing remarkable. Two further pathologists were instructed for the purposes of the inquest, and a joint report was produced by them in conjunction with the cardiac pathologist. They agreed that the cause of death was unascertained - there was no evidence of any natural disease or sudden cardiac event such as chanelopathy. The coroner also heard evidence from a consultant in a care and emergency medicine. His evidence was of particular importance in the judicial review proceedings.
