The Importance of Need in Life
need alone is a cheat when it comes to meaning and direction. When you talk about things being right and true and good the foundation of rightness is not just need because I can through need justify doing atrocities, he says. "You could have chosen safety over virtue" we should be self-sufficient rather than dependent on other people for our own survival but that's an easy shortcut which leaves us short of the final goal this is one example of why I believe need is not sufficient justification for doing what we do.
