Steph's financial upbringing and frugality roots

Today we are talking about money! But probably not in the way you are thinking. We are talking all about financial literacy. I am sharing my life's story and how I became financially literate.

What is financial literacy? It is the ability to understand and use financial skills to make informed and effective decisions about money.

I grew up in a very frugal home. My parents and grandparents taught me so many life lessons around this. However, early in my marriage my husband and I started playing around with credit cards and quickly found ourselves in debt.

It was not until after the birth of our first child that we realized that this was not the best life choice. So, we stopped and started educating ourselves in our finances. We started reading book and watching shows to learn anything we could on how to be smart in our spending. And I am sharing it all with you today!
