There's an important philosophical conversation that we need to have about the implications of what the world might be like if suddenly people could live to 300 or beyond. I actually published an article on lifespan extension back in the 1980s when we were not that close to making breakthroughs. But there's a real danger that if you simply expand lives for those who can afford it and you don't do anything to reduce population growth, then the world will become even more populated than it is now.
