Traditionally, as billahari suggested, china has been cautious to get involved in regional disputes. Chinese leaders have hinted that they're willing to play some sort of diplomatic role in the middle east peace process. China now has a military base in jabooti and there are increasing arm sales to the region including drones. Many argue that as china's economic interests in the region grow, naturally too, so will china's diplomatic and security interests in the area growing.
