Republicans were quick to attack the speech, not just on the merits or the question of threats to democracy. But because it didn't mention inflation, the economy, crime, or even abortion, was that a mistake from Biden? I guess that depends on whether here the Democrats in general have anything to say about those issues which can help them win. It's no secret that many Democrat candidates have been avoiding Biden.
