The Problem With Pikmin 4

The first two hours of Pikmin 4, mostly I was thinking like, wow, this is fun, but I wish I were playing tears of the kingdom instead. It's kind of a war tactic simulator, but it takes place in a miniature garden and everything is cute. Like how do you explain Super Mario to somebody? That's succinctly in Pikmin. You throw ants at a dog that has two legs that looks like a mushroom. And then they, some of them die. The game almost seems like it was designed to appeal to the most niche audience possible.
