CNN.com's John Sutter talks with ex-Mormon leader Tim Kosov about the church's handling of child abuse cases in New York City and Washington, D.C. He says it was a coverup to protect members who were at risk of being abused by their husbands or boyfriends. The Church put together a help line so they could be made aware that an embarrassment was about to break out, he says. But now there is no reason for anyone else to report this kind of abuse because you can't rely on them to protect your family from themselves, writes Sutter. "It just looks terrible. He looks like he's lying for the church"
