Hemingway's Farewell to Arms

Hemingway's "Farewell to Arms" is one of his most famous short stories. It was made into a movie in 1952 with Gregory Peck playing Harry and Susan Hayward playing Helen. Ava Gardner played a completely invented role, but it was not unmotivated by the story. The author rebelled against his bohemian mom by becoming an author, but a manly author.
