Most popular psychedelic drugs were created by humans. There is no naturally occurring LSD, ketamine or MDMA. Can we get the same therapeutic result as psilocybin in two hours instead of six hours? Not everyone has the luxury to take a whole six hours off. We don't know how strongly the mystical experience correlates with the therapeutic outcome.
Brom Rector is the founder of Empath Ventures, a VC fund that in invests in early-stage psychedelics startups. Prior to founding Empath, Brom sent several years as a portfolio manager and quantitative researcher.
