He became King the moment the Queen died. So he didn't need to have a coronation at all. He wanted to have one, so he had one. There was an anointing and there were sort of there was a whole religious spiritual aspect to it with like holy, holy oil and Magic hats and things. They rode in state with a big procession in front of them from Buckingham Palace,. past all the crowds, round, passed through Travela Square and down a white hall into Parliament Square. It rained - this is traditional on coronation days. And they took the long route, didn't they? Well, yeah, it took a bit. I looked at the map
