What Is Survivorship?
For most childhood cancers, we think the risk of relapse occurs within two years from the end of therapy. Most patients will then refer to our survivor clinic at that two-year time mark. The vast majority in the country are run by med-peds just because you have a special spot for pediatrics. We're learning what happens when they become 50, 60, 70, 80 years old.
