The Story of Rachel Stagg

Unemployed Colin Stagg went for a walk with his dog on Roehampton Common at 9.25am. The 28-year-old took some painkillers and went back to bed hoping to sleep off his headache. Less than 200 yards from the well frequented green area, Rachel was grabbed and ferociously attacked by a white man about 5 foot 10 with dark hair. He wrestled Rachel to the ground and in an attempt to silence the young mother's screams, he cut her throat so violently he almost decapitated her. All of this happened in front of her two-year old son.
