Executive Function Skills in Children With ADHD
Executive function skills in children with ADHD can lag like three years behind their neurotypical peers, peers without ADHD. And I find that that's helpful to remind parents that a lot of educators may not even realize that and so their expectations may be a bit unrealistic. So also helping teachers to understand it's not a problem with intention. My child wants to do well in school. Kids do, even though they may not act like they do.
