I like to pretend that it's because i lived with students for so long. And, right, like, if you're feel, like, 20 years older than someone, you kind of feel like you can give them unsolicited advice but you probably shouldn't. I think we do need to be honest about the things that we actually do know more than other people about. It's easy to be an arbiter of it from afar, but actually practising it in your life is very tough. Like, i want a doctor who listens to me and who really takes my thoughts on what's going on with my body seriously. But i also want one who like, knows that they know things
