The subject matter that he's working on is too provocative for many people if religion is involved at all or they take it seriously in their lives. The sexual content and the idea that he's suggesting a naturalistic origin of life no supernatural creator necessarily involved was a problem for Pester to by the way because he was a serious CatholicYeah so I mean why did so many people attack Reich's work I think there's a host of reasons and I think in many people more than one of them was probably an operation but that's a really interesting thing about history of science.
