The Importance of a Domain Driven Design Approach

In recent applications, the application team usually also owns the data store. The coupling discussion is something that comes up in a lot of discussions I have with teams. It really seems like we're trying to bring programmers away from all the low level stuff that they think about and just educate them on solving real problems for real people. And if you build your system in that way, then you are also losing out on the actual capabilities at hand.
